Ontario Celebrates Tourism Week!

June 5, 2013 - You're invited!

This year, Tourism Week is taking place across the province from June 10-16. Tourism Week is a great promotional opportunity for OTMPC and industry partners to inspire Ontarians to travel within their own province.

Every region of Ontario is full of exciting discoveries, from urban adventures to wilderness escapes to countless festivals and events. Tourism Week activities will show Ontarians how to find them.

A series of kick-off events are being held at Ontario Travel Information Centres in Barrie (June 4), St. Catharines(June 6), and Sault St. Marie and Windsor (June 10). Partners from every region of the province have been busy, planning special displays, giveaways and prizes. To read the media kit, click here.

Ontario partners have also been busy preparing for the popular Yonge-Dundas Square consumer event, held in Toronto on Friday, June 7. All day, consumers will be able to take in special displays, giveaways, prizes and interactive exhibits and activities. Toronto's Breakfast Television will once again return and will broadcast live. If you're in Toronto that day, please be sure to join us.

Ontario Travel Information Centres will continue to host open houses throughout the week. If you'd like to get involved, contact a travel centre near you.

To attract more visitors to your festival, event or attraction, don't forget to submit or update your event listing through our industry website. Doing so puts your listing into the 'Discover Ontario' mobile app and in front of approximately two million visitors to ontariotravel.net annually. Don't hesitate. It's free and easy to do.

Celebrate Tourism Week to launch the 2013 summer season!
