RTO7 is led by a volunteer, industry-led board of directors consisting of members drawn from private and non-private tourism businesses and organizations across Bruce, Grey and Simcoe to represent the interests of Region 7 tourism.

Richard Bowering
(Grey County)
Richard is owner of Eagle Adventures Experiences in Thornbury, a year-round outdoor adventure operator.  His background includes teaching business, operation of several tourism-related businesses, including a local guest house.
Bruce Chappell
(Simcoe County)
Bruce is the owner and operator of Chappell Farms near Barrie, one of the largest agro tourism businesses in the province, and a former chair of Ontario's Lake Country
Ralph Cipolla
(Simcoe County)
Ralph is the owner and operator of CC Bak 2 Basics, a retail establishment in Orillia. He is a former city councillor whose tourism experience includes advisory work with the province as well as leadership with several festivals and events
Paul Crysler
(Bruce County)
Paul is the owner and operator of Nature's Millworks in Paisley. He is current chair of Lake Huron Shoreline Tourism Partners and of the Brockton & Area Family Health Team, and is active with local chambers of commerce
Laura Downing, Secretary
(Simcoe County)
Laura is an owner and vice-president at Fern Resort in Orillia. She has particular expertise in tourism workforce training and serves on the Georgian College Tourism/Hospitality School Advisory Board
Catherine Durrant, Treasurer
(Simcoe County)
Catherine is a professional Economic Developer with an Ec.D.,(F) in Economic Development, 30 years of experience and a strong background in Public Administration and Tourism Development.  She is currently President of Durrant and Associates, Creative Economic Development Solutions
Joanne Robbins
(Bruce County)
Joanne is general manager of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce, which has a significant tourism focus. In addition to her operational expertise, Joanne brings a wealth of experience with successful festivals and events
Kathryn Stephenson, President
(Simcoe County)
Kathryn is manager of tourism with Tourism Simcoe County and past chair of Ontario's Lake Country. Her industry experience includes work in resort sector and in tourism marketing and management
Val Stimpson
(Grey County)
Val is president and CEO of Neustadt Springs Brewery in Neustadt. She is a past and current member of provincial and local boards and serves on the Grey County Tourism Advisory Committee
Philip Tarlo, Vice Chair
(Simcoe County)
Philip is a chef instructor with Liaison College, Barrie and owns and operates Willow Trace B&B & Admirals Post Pub. He has over 35 years of culinary and hospitality experience
